This website was created by Jennie Silis, who is Oum El Banines coordinator in Sweden. As a part of my education, the Programme of Peace, Conflict and International Relations, at the institution of Global Political Studies, Malmö University, Sweden, I did internship at Oum El Banine in Agadir, Morocco during spring 2007. Since then, I have continued my work for the association, I hold lectures, write articles and manages some international contacts for Oum El Banine.
The purpose of this website is to spread information about the situation for unmarried mothers in Morocco and to support Oum El Banine in their work for women’s and children’s rights.
